Private Jet Charter Terms & Conditions

1. Brokerage Relationship

Peak Private Jets acts as an air charter broker. We do not own or operate aircraft. All flights are conducted by FAA-certified Part 135 air carriers who maintain full operational control of the aircraft, crew, and safety at all times.

2. Pricing and Payment

  • All-In Quotes: Our quotes include the aircraft, crew, fuel, and standard catering.

  • Taxes: All flights within the United States are subject to a 7.5% Federal Excise Tax (FET) and applicable segment fees. For international flights (e.g., Miami to the Bahamas), international departure/arrival taxes apply.

  • Payment Terms: Full payment must be received to secure your tail number. We accept wire transfers and major credit cards. (Note: Credit card payments may incur a processing fee).

3. Regional Surcharges (LA, NYC, Miami, Colorado)

Clients should be aware of specific costs associated with our primary hubs:

  • De-Icing (Colorado/NYC): During winter months, de-icing is a mandatory safety requirement. These costs are billed as a “pass-through” from the FBO and are not included in the initial quote.

  • Peak Travel Days: Flights booked around major events (Super Bowl, Art Basel Miami, or Christmas in Aspen) may be subject to “Peak Day” pricing and stricter cancellation windows.

  • Airport Fees: Landing and ramp fees at high-traffic hubs like Teterboro (TEB), Van Nuys (VNY), and Opa-locka (OPF) are included in your quote unless otherwise specified.

4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We understand that plans change. Our standard cancellation fees are as follows:

  • 72+ Hours Notice: 25% of the charter price.

  • 48–72 Hours Notice: 50% of the charter price.

  • Less than 48 Hours / No-Show: 100% of the charter price.

  • Note: One-way and “Empty Leg” flights are generally non-refundable once booked.

5. Passenger Documentation & Conduct

  • ID Requirements: All passengers must provide a valid government-issued photo ID (for domestic flights in LA, NYC, etc.) or a passport (for international travel).

  • Baggage: Luggage capacity is strictly limited by the aircraft type. If you are traveling with heavy gear (skis for Colorado or golf clubs for Miami), please notify us in advance so we can ensure the aircraft has sufficient baggage space.

  • Pet Policy: We are a pet-friendly service. However, any damage to the aircraft interior caused by pets will be the financial responsibility of the charterer.

6. Operational Safety

The Captain of the aircraft has the final authority regarding the safety of the flight. This includes the decision to delay or divert due to weather—specifically relevant for mountain airports like Aspen (ASE) or Vail (EGE).
