Private Jet Charter FAQs

Everything you need to know about booking, safety, and regional travel with Peak Private Jets.

General Booking Questions

While we can often arrange “wheels up” in as little as 4 hours, we recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance to ensure the best aircraft selection and pricing. For holiday travel to Aspen or Miami, 1–3 months is ideal.

We simply need your departure and arrival cities, dates, passenger count, and any specific luggage needs (like skis or golf clubs).

Regional & Route

Los Angeles (LAX/VNY)

Most of our clients prefer Van Nuys (VNY) because it is dedicated to private aviation and offers faster boarding than LAX. We also frequently use Burbank (BUR) and Santa Monica (SMO) for closer access to the Westside.

Yes. For a non-stop coast-to-coast flight, we recommend a Super-Midsize (like a Challenger 350) or a Heavy Jet. These aircraft handle the 5.5-hour flight easily, even with headwinds.

New York City (TEB/HPN)

Teterboro is the primary private hub for NYC. It is located just 12 miles from Manhattan, offering much faster arrivals and departures than JFK or LaGuardia.
A one-way flight from New York to Miami in a Light Jet typically starts around $15,000–$19,000, depending on availability and the specific tail number.

Miami & South Florida (OPF/PBI)

Absolutely. We specialize in pet-friendly travel. Your pets fly in the cabin with you, not in a crate in the cargo hold. This is a very popular request for seasonal “snowbird” travelers.

Colorado & Ski Destinations (ASE/EGE/APA)

Mountain weather is unpredictable. If Aspen is closed due to snow or wind, we coordinate diversions to Rifle (RIL) or Eagle County (EGE) and arrange luxury ground transport to get you to your resort.

Yes. De-icing is a safety requirement in winter and is billed as a pass-through cost from the FBO. To minimize this, we often recommend booking heated hangar space when available.

On-Board Experience

Limits depend on the aircraft size. Light Jets are perfect for carry-ons and small bags. If you are traveling to Colorado with skis and heavy gear, we recommend a Midsize or Heavy Jet with a larger external baggage compartment.
Standard “VIP Catering” (fruit, snacks, sandwiches, and drinks) is included. We can also arrange gourmet meals, specific wine labels, or dietary-specific menus (Vegan, Kosher, etc.) upon request.
